Federate Cookies and Whitelist

Cookies ¶

Federate will put cookies on your website, and in your end users’ browsers. Be sure that you do not delete these cookies.

• session_id
• visited
• janrain_sso_checked_<domainspecifier> — Whatever your domain specifier is. The <domainspecifier> is pulled from the cross domain receiver page host and path. It allows same-domain SSO login.

Whitelist ¶

Federate relies on the whitelist of the Engage or Capture application associate with the Federate instance. Federate requires the use of Engage or Capture, so your website must have either Engage or Capture running on it in order to use Federate.

Legacy ¶

If the you have a legacy conventional user name and password, and you wish to use Federate, you can take advantage of our Identity Services service.
