Capture uses our core Social Sign-in technology to provide your website with a best in breed user registration solution.

Our User Registration Widget allows users to sign in using a profile from a social network, and enables collection and storage of their social network data in the cloud. In addition, the widget handles traditional login forms (see Figure 1), lost passwords, profile editing, and password authentication. All the heavy lifting of registration is handled by Capture, and all the collected data is stored and managed on Janrain’s servers, available anywhere through a browser or RESTful API calls.

The User Registration widget allows you to store demographic information and interests collected from your users’ social network accounts. You can choose from a large selection of standard fields or define your own custom fields. You can import data from existing user databases into Capture also.

Capture has these solutions available:

• User Registration Widget – a JavaScript based widget deployed with a best-in-class GUI. The widget handles all registration for your website, and stores the data in the cloud.
• iframe User Registration – a pre-widget version of the User Registration Widget based on iframe, only deployed when needed by certain server environments.

Naturally, you can run reports, manage and review all changes to user records, and set up roles based access for various user types, such as, customer service reps, marketing department, IT, and others. You can even grant access to your data to third-party applications such as email marketing programs, content personalization engines, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases, and Content Management Systems (CMS).

Capture comes out of the box with a default workflow, supported by over 20 screens, which include registration and sign-in, terms of service opt-in, password reset, account mapping, photo upload and cropping, and public and private pages. You can put your own branding on all of these pages as well.

You can sort your users across a number of demographic variables, and deliver customized content, contextual promotions, rewards or events based on the data you collect with Capture.
